چکیده

Long Term Evolution (LTE) is designed for deployment in a variety of spectrum allocation ranging from 1.4 MHz to 20 MHz. The peak data rate envisaged for LTE is 100 Mbps in downlink and 50 Mbps in the uplink. Unfortunately, different constraints have a strong influence on system performance such as the velocity of user equipment and effect of multipath channel. To achieve data rate compliance with LTE standard, Different transmissions techniques are deployed such as MIMO transmission, Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) and Hybrid Automatic Repeat request (HARQ) Technique. In this paper we simulate and discuss the performances of HARQ process for downlink LTE system using MIMO transmit diversity and spatial multiplexing. In first time, we study the effect of HARQ technique over AWGN channel then we perform different MIMO transmission schemes for downlink LTE system in multipath channel. Extended Vehicular-A tapped delay channel model are used to model high speed user equipment. Keywords—Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest; transmit diversity; Open loop spatial multiplexing; Mutiple input mutiple output

S Performance Evaluation of MIMO and HARQ Techniques for LTE Uplink System

In this paper, we carry out a performance evaluation of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) techniques for singlecarrier frequency division multiple access (SCFDMA) of the LTE uplink system. Different MIMO schemes such as singleantenna port (SISO or SIMO), transmit diversity (TD) and spatial multiplexing (SM) are described and simulated. In this pape...

ارزیابی سیاست‌های زمان‌بندی در نسل چهارم شبکه‌های سلولی (LTE)

New generation of wireless networks, LTE and WiMAX, supports many services which consume a lot of resources (such as VOIP, Video Conference, Digital Video, Multimedia streams and online Multi-player Games). Supporting multi-media services in wireless communication systems provide new resource allocation challenges. Because of high loads in downlink, efficient resource allocation is vital in dow...

Comparison between Performances of Channel Estimation Techniques for CP-LTE and ZP-LTE Downlink Systems

In this paper, we propose to evaluate the performance of channel estimation techniques for Long Term Evolution (LTE) Downlink systems based on Zero Padding technique (ZP) instead of Cyclic Prefixing (CP). LTE Downlink system is a multiuser system based on a MIMO-OFDMA technology. Usually, in OFDM systems, a guard interval is inserted in order to mitigate both inter-carrier interference (ICI) an...
